Alessia Proietti first connected with Craig’s Cause Pancreatic Cancer Society while covering the organization as a journalist. After her father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, she became more deeply involved—participating in her local Kicking PancreAS™ event in Montreal and ultimately joining the team to help Change the Outcome.

Alessia has reported across Canada on a wide range of topics, including local news and provincial healthcare. She has also produced a documentary series focused on community volunteerism and philanthropy in Red Deer, Alberta. Prior to her career in media, she worked as a pharmacy laboratory technician for five years, gaining firsthand experience within the healthcare system.

In her role as Healthcare Education & Communications Manager, Alessia is passionate about empowering patients to advocate for themselves, sharing impactful stories, and improving awareness, transparency, and access to information.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a DEC in Business Administration (Marketing).
