Shining a Light on Pancreatic Cancer across Canada

To bring participants together from across Canada, to Shine a Light on Pancreatic Cancer awareness, through a unique, evening 5km run/walk for all ages and abilities.


Light Up the Lake™ was created by Craig’s Cause Pancreatic Cancer Society in 2014. Our first event took place in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and has since expanded to include Newfoundland, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Ontario and Saskatchewan.

This year, 2021, although the pandemic has canceled in person Light Up the Lake™, we are proud to offer this unique run across Canada! Participants will have unique running bibs, lanyards and finisher medals mailed out to them, prior to event dates. We are proud to say that this unique event has attracted thousands of participants of all ages and abilities from across Canada and continues to grow.

World Pancreatic Cancer Day is Thursday, November 19, 2020. Join us from ANYWHERE in CANADA to SHINE A LIGHT ON PANCREATIC CANCER!

On World Pancreatic Cancer Day, people around the world unite to Demand Better in the fight against the world’s toughest cancer.

The World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition has brought together more than 80 organizations from over 30 countries and six continents to raise awareness and inspire action on World Pancreatic Cancer Day. Through this combined effort, we are bringing greater attention, awareness, and better outcomes to this deadly disease.

Running kits will be mailed out prior to this day.
