Fundraising Ideas

Fundraising can be made hard or easy, it all comes down to the decisions you make in regards to the fundraiser.

Select a fundraiser that is best for you.
Create a fundraiser that is fun and that your friends and community look forward to.
Choose a fundraiser that is equivalent to the time and efforts you put into it.

Craig’s Cause Pancreatic Cancer Society will do whatever they can, to support you and your fundraising efforts. Craig’s Cause Pancreatic Cancer Society will provide receipt booklets, pamphlets about the society and any other information needed. The following list are some suggestions that have been successful fundraisers in the past;

Names on Jerseys- Sell spots on your jersey for $100.00 per name. The names are names of individuals who are survivors of cancer, who are presently supporting cancer or who have lost their life to cancer.
Business names on jerseys- Spots can also be sold to local businesses, who would like their name on your jersey. The cost is $100.00.
Pledge Sheets
Auctions-Live or Silent auctions are often popular choices. Businesses are often very generous with in-kind donations.
Dances- Having a dance, with a popular live band, in a community centre is often popular. You can also through in a silent auction.
Yuk Yuks night. This is a great time and affordable. You can also through in a silent auction.
A fun hockey tournament either for the youth of the community or for the adults.
Ball Hockey Tournament- Craig’s Cause Pancreatic Cancer Society has held a ball hockey tournament for the last 2 years, for the youth in the community. This is a very popular event, and families come out in full force. Pop, water, freezies and hot dogs are also sold.
Battle of the Bands- Craig’s Cause Pancreatic Cancer Society held a battle of the bands for the youth 12-18 in the community. It was a fun event, that allowed the youth to profile their talents. We sold hot dogs, freezies, pop and water at this event.
Holding a Talent Show in the community where you live at the community centre.
Holding a Coffee House for local talent.
Holding a Wii Tournament for the youth in the community.
Have a block party or spring fling. Have a company donate their bouncy castles etc., and admission can be a donation.
Dinner- find a chef to donate their time and have a dinner for your friends and family at your home. Great opportunity for friends and family to get together. You can either charge a fee or have them make a donation.
Local Musicians- have a local musician come in and play (you may be able to get them to donate their time). Serve finger foods and some wine. Great night with friends and family. Admission can be a donation, of their choice.
BBQ’s outside of businesses, who agree to the event.
